Kendrick knew the size of wave he was creating by dropping DAMN, he had to. He’s made a statement titling every song in CAPS and putting a period at the end of them!! The entire album is full of deep conversation between himself, and it is amazing to watch.
He starts off by telling a story in BLOOD. and follows it up with a hood BanGeR DNA.
My personal favorites are the more mellow songs with strong lyrical undertones. YAH., FEEL. & LOVE. FEAT. ZACARI.
“Ain’t nobody prayin’ for me” (FEEL)
LOVE. has been getting noticed for how DAMN chill and sexy the song is. Maybe other people were on Zacari before this song… but I wasn’t, and from merely getting a feature with Kendrick, he is good in my book. Looking to see more from him, as well as Kendrick.
This feels like a peak album… it’s just so hard. I sure hope Kung Fu Kenny whips out some more moves on us next time Top gives the word.
