GO:OD AM

Mac Miller recently released the tracklist for his newest album coming out, GO:OD AM, I want to show it and talk about it some but I also want to go in depth on the title of this album. I personally wasn’t a big Mac fan until Faces came out and I started to explore his other stuff, which has a different vibe compared to Faces. A slower more melodic and lyric heavy sound instead of his normal get up off your feet and party sound.
It’s a great album and I encourage listening to the whole thing. (The cover art certainly inspired by a combination of drugs & psychedelics)

So Mac’s latest (possibly greatest?) creation, GO:OD AM came out sounding really strong with the track 100 Grandkids that showcases his unique, funky sound and flow with some killer lyrics along the way. The tracklist, as far as we know, for the album is as follows:

1. Doors
2. Brand Name
3. Rush Hour
4. Two Matches (feat. Ab-Soul)
5. 100 Grandkids
6. Time Flies (feat. Lil B)
7. Weekend (feat. Miguel)
8. Clubhouse
9. In The Bag
10. Break The Law
11. Perfect Circle / God Speed
12. When In Rome
13. ROS
14. Cut The Check (feat. Chief Keef)
15. Ascension
16. Jump
17. The Festival (feat. Little Dragon)

It is nice to see he’s got Soul on this album because Faces was missing him, although he had a great reference in the song New Faces v2 featuring Earl Sweatshirt and Da$h. The appearances from Chief Keef, Lil B and Little Dragon are surprising but one can only hope they are amazing.

The title of the album is intriguing because I cannot decipher if it stands for GOOD AM, which would be surprising because I certainly am not a morning person and would be surprised if Mac Miller was one, contradicting his party-hard lifestyle. Or GO OD AM, as in take whatever drugs you can first thing in the morning. I am excited to see the feel that I get from this album.

It is available to pre-order off ITunes and will be officially released September 18th, 2015. Look for his tour starting after the release of the album on Sept. 19th aswell.
